Holiday Pay

Under the Working Time Regulations a worker and/or employee is entitled to four weeks holiday per year. This is calculated pro-rata for part time workers.

Holidays can be inclusive of bank holidays which are eight per year.

The holiday entitlement applies to workers and employees.

It is not always straightforward to determine when a person is employed or self employed. There are many situations where individuals have thought that they were self employed, but the Courts have held that the reality of their contractual relationship with the employer was that they were employed.
