Costs

Fees will vary depending on the nature of the work and the work involved.

The Barristers’ clerks will always quote either an hourly rate or fixed sum before taking on a piece of work. This can be done on the phone.

Hourly rates range from £175 to £200 plus VAT but much work is carried out under fixed fee arrangements.  You will be given details of fees before any work is undertaken on your behalf.

Barristers’ overheads are lower than Solicitors and therefore Barristers’ fees have traditionally been on lower hourly rates.
